At Tankard Dental, we’re proud to offer you the focused, advanced dental care that you need to achieve a straighter smile. With Invisalign clear aligners, you can do exactly that, and we’ll be here to help you every step of the way.
With Invisalign clear aligners, you’ll be able to correct a number of problems, including:
Simply give our practice a call to book a consultation to find out if you’re eligible.
If you’re considering Invisalign, first, we’ll start with a consultation to examine your mouth and bite to determine if you’re a candidate for care. If not, we may recommend other options, like traditional metal braces or veneers.
Next, we’ll discuss the entire process with you. If you’d like to continue, we’ll begin by taking moulds and digital scans of your mouth so that your clear aligners can be custom-made in a lab.
You’ll return a couple of weeks later to receive your first few trays, and the straightening process begins! You’ll leave our practice wearing your trays, which will be swapped out for new trays every few weeks. Many patients love that Invisalign doesn’t involve many trips to our practice throughout your care; you’ll only need to visit us a few times to pick up new aligners and for a quick check to make sure that everything is moving nicely.
The Invisalign SmileView simulation tool uses real-time technology to simulate how your smile could look with straighter teeth. All you need to do is upload a photo!

You should wear your trays for 22 hours each day. You can remove them for eating and drinking things other than water. You should wear them while you sleep. If you don’t wear your trays for 22 hours each day, your treatment plan may be prolonged as it will take a longer period of time to see results.
Because each case is unique, it’s difficult to estimate before you visit us for a consultation. At the time of your consult, we’ll be able to get a better idea of a range of treatments. As a general rule of thumb, most Invisalign users have their aligners for roughly six months to two years.
The cost of Invisalign depends on how much movement is needed in your mouth, which varies from person to person and is dependent upon your goals to achieve the desired result. We’ll be able to give you a specific cost after your consultation if you decide to move forward with the care plan. We do offer in-house payment plans and other options. Feel free to ask if you’d like to receive more information at your first appointment.
Yes! Invisalign results are permanent and should be maintained by wearing a retainer each night when you sleep. If you stop wearing your nighttime retainer, you will run the risk of your teeth shifting back into their old position.
Yes, Invisalign can be an option for both teens and adults, but we typically do not use Invisalign aligners on kids under the age of 14.
No, Invisalign is not painful. When you first begin to wear your trays, you may notice some slight pressure as your mouth adjusts to the new aligner. This should only last about a day. Each time you begin wearing a new set of aligners, you may notice the pressure again; however, it should subside quickly. If your trays are ever uncomfortable for a prolonged period of time, please let us know.
